2011 is one hell of a year. We went up, we went down. We gained and we lost. But we made it through. And the amazing thing is we’re still here—alive and breathing to face another morning: a new morning that’s full of hope and memories of the past year.
Have a blessed and meaningful 2012 everyone!

If cuteness and innocence could kill, this would be it.
We may have heard, seen or read this classic story of the Nativity a million times. But being it told by such sweet and adorable children seems like the very first bedtime story we’ve ever heard. These children of St. Paul’s Church in Auckland, New Zealand definitely knew how to create their own adaptation of Christ’s birth and to say that they had fun doing it would be an understatement.
These children are a delight to watch. It makes me think that Christmas is truly for them. I can’t help not to wish to be like them again this holiday season.
But what I want to really wish is for you my readers, wherever you are, to have a joyful and merry Christmas!

Janet’s story is every transwoman’s dream: to love and be loved as who they are. Most of the transwomen I know have found love amidst this cruel and unfair world. I’m happy for them, really. But there’s always a part of me that wishes: “sana ako rin… sana maranasan ko rin ‘yan [me too… I wish I also experience the same thing].” For someone like me who’s been single all this time, I can’t help not to feel that way. The sad reality is I don’t know if it could happen to me. I really don’t know :(

This only means one thing: 2012 is going to be a loud and lively year, not to mention that the name of the color makes us groove with it. And I don’t mind adding some pieces of this color to my outfit. It can definitely make a statement.

Pantone has just revealed Tangerine Tango as the Color of the Year for 2012. In their official press release, Pantone said: “Tangerine Tango, a spirited reddish orange, continues to provide the energy boost we need to recharge and move forward.”
I personally love this shade for lips and nails. What do you think?
Dear Friends,
Here is an ancient Chinese proverb: “One should not miss the flavor of being sick, nor miss the experience of being destitute.”
Not an inspiring saying, perhaps, at first sight, but actually quite profound. To miss an experience means resisting, complaining, huffing and puffing (which is futile, since it is what it is already). The alternative? Choose to ‘be the space’ for whatever experience Life (the present moment) gives you. Allow the Now to be as it is. Then there is a depth to who you are. And inner peace. And right action arising out of that.
With love,
Eckhart
